Cyber Monday attracts 1 mln visitors, most traffic from regions
MOSCOW, Feb 3 (PRIME) -- Russia’s online sale Cyber Monday, held on c-monday.com on January 29–Wednesday, engaged over 1 million unique users with over 70% of traffic coming from regions, the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC), which acted as the event’s partner, said Friday in a press release.
The sellout opened in the evening on January 29 for users of popular social network Odnoklassniki and went on through Wednesday.
It was participated by 142 companies, including U.S. online auction floor eBay, local sellers Svyaznoy, M.Video, KupiVIP and online cinema Amediateka. They raised turnover and the volume of orders thanks to the event.
The share of mobile traffic on c-monday.com exceeded 30%, and 26% of visitors surfed the Web site from smartphones and 4.7% from tablets.
People at the age of 25–34 years were the most active buyers and were followed by people of 18–24 years old.
Smartphones, gadgets, household appliances and electronics were bestsellers during the event.
